So in this article, you are going to read about the MSI GL65 Leopard Review in detail and whether it is the right device for your needs.
If you are a gamer you have already heard of MSI because their Laptops are gamer-centric at least in terms of looks.
The Overall Specifications of this machine is amazing. There are many MSI GL 65’s Available which we will talk down the line.

This was the Best balanced Laptop which we can find in the MSI GL65 leopard Lineup and comparatively to other laptops too.
Now the 1650Ti will definitely perform better in gaming and is priced 5K lower than this one because it has an i5 processor.
The reason we are going with a superior Processor is that most of you just not only play games but would like to perform certain Processing tasks for which i7 will be the best future-proofing when it comes to the general performance of your Laptop.

The MSI GL65 Leopard Review is gonna be sweet with these specs…

Is i7 9th Gen Too Old?
Technically i7 9th Gen is old but the truth is that the 10th Gen does not really give that performance for their price when compared for a similar laptop.
You can get a similar laptop with an i5 10th Gen but that will underperform as compared to an i7 9th Gen.
So it all comes to ” THE PRICE TO PERFORMANCE RATIO” and this is what this laptop offers.
The CPU in this beast is a 9th gen 6 core 12 thread i7 with a base clock of 2.3 GHz which goes up to 4.5 GHz. But in order to get that 4.5 GHz all-core speed you may have to do some overclocking, but don’t worry MSI took care of it already. There’s a built-in software by MSI which has 3 predefined options BUT you can also change it manually to under or overclock your CPU as per your needs.

The Graphcs is more than capable of playing any AAA Games at Medium Settings and Playing Valorant or CSGO should definitely give you above 150 Hz using that 144Hz panel on this laptop.
This beast can Run GTA V at 60 FPS at High-Ultra Combination.
Which is good performance for a laptop specially at this price .
If you can Spend 10K you can check this Laptop by Dell.
The Outer Hardware Estate

DISPLAY:
The screen of the MSI GL65 LEOPARD is what you can say a high-end gaming display. It’s a FULL HD 1920*1080 IPS panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz with 300 nits brightness level. Plus the bezels are very thin it looks pretty good and the gaming experience is 7. out of 10 when it comes to Gaming.
KEYBOARD:
And here comes the fun part, PER KEY RGB! Now, this is very rare to see in a laptop at this price point. Fully customizable, 4 brightness levels with a pretty good typing experience. it is a full-size keyboard i.e Numpad is included, which may have shifted the keyboard to the left a bit but you will get used to it in a while.
The trackpad is also good and has windows precision drivers installed. It is made of a plastic surface, with dedicated left and right keys
You only get a 41 Whr battery which is lower as compared to its competitors but it’s focused as a gaming device making it not ideal use without a wall adapter, so yeah it’s a compromise. The battery backup is around 1.5 to 2 hrs of media consumption.
The chassis is plastic and the keyboard deck is a fingerprint magnet for sure.
The Laptop deck feels CHEAP.
Now Talking Thermals:
The thermals are decent. It has 7 heat pipes and 2 fans, 3 Air outlet vents(1 on the side 2 on the back) but fans only have 3 modes so no customizability but 3 modes are enough for most case of workload.
PROS | CONS |
▪️ A very powerful CPU ▪️ Per key RGB ▪️ Great screen with very fewer bezels | ▪️ Low tier GPU ▪️ 41 Whr battery ▪️ I don’t like the build quality especially the material feels sort of cheap. |
